Hola Michael. The difference is simple: Adónde refers to destination Dónde refers to location. For instance: ¿A dónde vamos esta noche? Where do we go tonight? ¿Dónde es la fiesta? Where is the party? I hope you got it!Suggest edit

To say where you are going you need to use a form of ir + al + destination. Remember to use al (a + el) when the destination is masculine and singular.Suggest edit
