how do you say the phrase "O.T.T (over the top)." in Spanish, the closest I can find by searching is "exagerado"? Edit

for example, 1- if someone gets carried away or over excited over something small, or example, 2- someone needs to cook for 4 people, they want to cook extra, they could cook for 5 but they cook for 10 instead, we say "they've gone OTT" it's used when someone goes too far, I'm not looking for it as an action as in "para ir al parte superior" I'm looking for something more colloquial, (since posting I found these but don't know which is the best "extralimitarse" "propasarse" "exederse" and "desmedirse", please help)Edit

They are all alright:
For the people that cooked more than they needed, it could be said "Se pasaron", o "Exageraron", o "Se excedieron".
